



The Maintenance Department is responsible for the maintenance of County State Aid Highways, county roads, road ditches, county tile, seasonal mowing of various county properties and cemeteries. This includes:
- Snow and Ice Removal on the 363 miles of bituminous roadways and 80 miles of county gravel roadways
- Hauling and placing aggregate on the gravel county roads and paved road shoulders
- Continual Grading on the 80 miles of county gravel roadways
Maintenance is also busy in the spring, summer and fall with weed spraying, weed control and the mowing of road ditches. The maintenance department is kept busy with county tile intake repair and county tile line repair.
