Starting Wage:  $20.95/hour

Purpose: Provides administrative and customer service support to the Auditor/Treasurer’s (including license center) and Recorder’s office of Nobles County.  Assists customers at the walk-up counter, over the phone, and assists staff when and where needed.

Environmental Specialist – Public Works Department

Level 11  Pay Rate $24.96/Hour

Purpose:  The Environmental Specialist assists the livestock producers in meeting State regulations and County Ordinances while protecting water quality. Serves as the County Agricultural Inspector.  Reviews Subsurface Soil Treatment Systems designs and installations for conformity with local rules and ordinances.  Driver’s License required.

Public Works Director/County Engineer

Full-Time    FLSA:  Exempt

Level 22, Pay Rate $98,529.60 – $124,155.20/Annual

Purpose:  The Public Works Director has overall responsibility for managing budgets and staff for multiple functions managed through the Public Works Department. The Director works in concert with the County Administrator to develop annual and long range plans as well as operating and capital budgets.  Serves as the principal communicator for the Public Works Department and is the Engineer of Record for Nobles County.

Engineering Support Supervisor – Public Works Department

Level 16  Pay Rate $33.39/Hour

The purpose of this position is to assist the Public Works Director in administrating, supervising, and directing activities of the Highway Department.  Duties include but are not limited to: supervision of assigned technical staff, drafts and designs bridge and roadway projects, adds data to GIS systems, directs and inspects construction projects and receives, reviews, and prepares reports.
