Property Appraiser I – Assessor Department

Full-time

Purpose:  Supports the daily activities of the Nobles County Assessor’s office in valuation, assessment, and administrative fields. Qualifications: high school diploma, or GED, with a minimum of one year experience in Real Estate, Carpentry, Appraisal, Administration, Accounting, or a related field. Ability to obtain CMA designation within two years of hire. Valid driver’s license required.

Starting Wage:  $21.53/hour.

Correctional Officers – Sheriff’s Department – Full and Part-Time Positions

Starting Wage:   $21.53/Hour

Purpose:  The Correctional Officer maintains order and safety within the Nobles County Jail.  This position caries out specific duties required for the safe and secure operations of the jail and secure movement of inmates to and from courts.  The duties range from booking incoming inmates, transporting inmates to other jurisdictions, monitoring the jail through both visual and electronic means, and intervening and controlling emergency situations in the jail.

Office Support Floater – Recorder

Full-time

Starting Wage:  $21.53/hour

Purpose: Provides administrative and customer service support to the Recorder’s office and the Auditor/Treasurer’s (including license center) office of Nobles County.  Assists customers at the walk-up counter, over the phone, and assists staff when and where needed.

Deputy Sheriff – Part Time 4/5 – Sheriff’s Department

Purpose:  The purpose of the Deputy Sheriff is to protect the lives and property of Nobles County through the enforcement of laws and ordinances.  Duties include:  patrol service, investigate criminal and non-criminal activities, manage traffic incidents, special assignments, reports, and perform other duties as assigned.

Assistant to County Engineer – Public Works Department

Full-Time

Level 16  Pay Rate $34.31 – $43.24/Hour

The Assistant to County Engineer is responsible for a broad range of duties providing assistance to the County Engineer in administration, supervision, and directing activities of the Engineering Department to ensure smooth operations. Oversees construction and maintenance projects through all phases, from early concept, funding, design, construction, and project closeout. Directs multiple projects simultaneously.  The Assistant to the County Engineer works independently using professional standards under the general direction of the County Engineer. Responsible for the quality and timeliness of work performed. Represents the Engineering department in the absence of the County Engineer.
