New Starting Wage:   $20.95/Hour

Purpose:  The Correctional Officer maintains order and safety within the Nobles County Jail.  This position caries out specific duties required for the safe and secure operations of the jail and secure movement of inmates to and from courts.  The duties range from booking incoming inmates, transporting inmates to other jurisdictions, monitoring the jail through both visual and electronic means, and intervening and controlling emergency situations in the jail.

Level 12, Pay Rate $53,937.25/Annual

Cost Accountant – Public Works Department

Full-Time

Level 11  Pay Rate $51,916.80/Annual

Purpose:  The Highway Cost Accountant is a specialized position which administers the department’s financial operations in compliance with state and federal regulations, county policy, and generally accepted accounting principles for highway cost accounting. The position Performs accounts payable and accounts receivable duties, prepares department financial statements and reports including a detailed annual report, prepares and monitors the department budget, monitors the financial status of construction projects, and performs various cost analysis and office administration duties.  It also provides support functions for the Public Works Department including annual audit, budgeting, finance, accounting and reporting and is directly responsible for all payroll/cost accounting functions for the Nobles County Public Works department.
