Correctional Officer – Sheriff’s Department – 2 positions


Starting Wage:   $20.95/Hour

Purpose:  The Correctional Officer maintains order and safety within the Nobles County Jail.  This position caries out specific duties required for the safe and secure operations of the jail and secure movement of inmates to and from courts.  The duties range from booking incoming inmates, transporting inmates to other jurisdictions, monitoring the jail through both visual and electronic means, and intervening and controlling emergency situations in the jail.

Eligibility Worker – Community Services

The purpose of this position is to apply program eligibility criteria to individual client situations and facilitates applicant eligibility for available state and federal program assistance with the Nobles County Community Services Department.

Deputy Sheriff – Part Time 4/5 – Sheriff’s Department

Part-Time – 4/5 Time


Purpose:  The purpose of the Deputy Sheriff is to protect the lives and property of Nobles County through the enforcement of laws and ordinances.  Duties include:  patrol service, investigate criminal and non-criminal activities, manage traffic incidents, special assignments, reports, and perform other duties as assigned.
