Level 8  Pay Rate $19.07 – $24.03/Hour

Purpose:  The Correctional Officer maintains order and safety within the Nobles County Jail.  This position caries out specific duties required for the safe and secure operations of the jail and secure movement of inmates to and from courts.  The duties range from booking incoming inmates, transporting inmates to other jurisdictions, monitoring the jail through both visual and electronic means, and intervening and controlling emergency situations in the jail.

Engineering Technician – Public Works Department

Level 12  Pay Rate $24.08 – $30.34/Hour

Purpose:  This position is responsible for carrying out surveying, testing, inspections, evaluation and construction support work for the highway department.  The Engineering Technician provides technical field and office civil engineering work for Nobles County.

Engineering Aide – Public Works Department

Level 9  Pay Rate $20.22 – $25.48/Hour

Purpose:  The Engineering Aide assists in providing technical field and office civil engineering work for Nobles County.  This position is responsible for assisting the engineering support supervisor and engineering technician, but operates with less independence and is often in an assisting and learning mode.  Duties include, but are not limited to performing engineering work in office; serving as rodman; assisting in construction inspections and field surveys; conducting tests; maintaining equipment and vehicles.

Drainage System Coordinator – Auditor/Treasurer’s Department

Level 11  Pay Rate $22.72 – $28.62/Hour

Purpose:  This position is responsible for managing the operations pertaining to the County drainage systems; primary duties are to inspect, inventory and prioritize the entire drainage system for redetermination of benefits.
