SHY: Nobles County Sexually Healthy Youth Coalition
Formed in 2008, the Sexually Healthy Youth Coalition works to prevent teen pregnancy by engaging adults, parents, and youth in early & accurate communication about abstinence & safe sex practices.
The SHY Coalition is a volunteer group that is comprised of concerned community members, parents, grandparents, and representatives from the County Board, Community Health, Planned Parenthood, area churches, schools, hospital/clinics, local business, and the Latino community.
SHY is funded, in part, by the Worthington Regional Health Care Foundation and Nobles County Community Services. SHY collaborates with the Minnesota Department of Health and Teen Wise.
