SHY: Nobles County Sexually Healthy Youth Coalition

Formed in 2008, the Sexually Healthy Youth Coalition works to prevent teen pregnancy by engaging adults, parents, and youth in early & accurate communication about abstinence & safe sex practices.

The SHY Coalition is a volunteer group that is comprised of concerned community members, parents, grandparents, and representatives from the County Board, Community Health, Planned Parenthood, area churches, schools, hospital/clinics, local business, and the Latino community.

SHY is funded, in part, by the Worthington Regional Health Care Foundation and Nobles-Rock Community Health Services. SHY collaborates with the Minnesota Department of Health and Minnesota Organization on Adolescent Pregnancy, Prevention, and Parenting (MOAPPP).
